Mega Match-a-thon Will Feature Adoptable Animals from Three Area Shelters All In One Location for One Day Only
The Montgomery County Humane Society, the Washington Animal Rescue League and the Washington Humane Society today announced that they are participating in the 2013 ASPCA ‘Mega Match-a-thon’ event, which will take place Saturday, October 19th from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. All three animal welfare organizations will bring hundreds of adoptable animals together at the Washington Animal Rescue League’s shelter to find homes for as many of these wonderful animals as possible.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Montgomery County Humane Society and the Washington Humane Society in this terrific event to focus the Washington, DC region’s attention on the animals available for adoption at our shelters,” said Washington Animal Rescue League CEO Bob Ramin. “We’re looking forward to welcoming these great organizations and their animals for one very special day. We invite the Washington, DC community to come out and help us save lives on October 19th!”
All three shelters will have their available dogs, cats, kittens and puppies on site at the Washington Animal Rescue League’s shelter at 71 Oglethorpe Street, NW in Washington, DC. All three organizations have reduced their adoptions fees for the event. Dogs and Puppies will be available for $50. All cats and kittens will have an adoption fee of $25. All available animals will be spayed/neutered and microchipped.
